The Super Eagles B team is set to resume next week to continue preparations for their two-legged 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana in December.

Following an initial training session in Abuja on Wednesday, the players wrapped up their activities for the week on Thursday before returning to their respective Nigeria Professional Football League clubs for the weekend fixtures.

During the two-day training, the players displayed promising skills, drawing praise from Super Eagles interim coach and NFF Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, who expressed satisfaction with their performance. “Very impressive,” Eguavoen told NFF TV. “Only two sessions in, but technically, they’re very good. We still have a lot of work to do to blend them into a cohesive unit.”

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the qualifier between December 20th and 22nd, with the second leg set to take place in Nigeria the following week. The winner of the aggregate will secure a spot at the 2025 CHAN, to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
