The Lagos State Government has commenced the dismantling of illegal shanties occupied by squatters beneath the Elegbata Bridge near Apongbon.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, announced the operation on X.com.

These clearance efforts are part of a larger plan to maintain public order and keep Lagos clean, safe, and orderly.

He stated, “Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (#LAGESCOfficial) have dislodged illegal squatters under the Elegbata Bridge by Apongbon.”
