The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has provided an update on the upcoming Total Energies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, which will be hosted jointly by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in February 2025.

CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe is set to visit the three host nations in December 2024 to evaluate the readiness of stadiums, infrastructure, and facilities for the tournament.
During his visit to Tanzania, Dr. Motsepe will also chair a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) to review:

- Progress in preparations for CHAN 2024 across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
- Developments regarding the pathway to achieving the US$1 billion investment goal in African football over the next eight years, as discussed at the 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Addis Ababa in October 2024.
- Updates on the Joint Governance and Audit Committee investigation into allegations of governance non-compliance within the CAF Secretariat.
- Details regarding the CAF Awards, scheduled for December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
In addition to the CHAN 2024 preparations, CAF President Motsepe is actively engaged in ongoing tournaments and events. He will attend the CAF Women’s Champions League Final in El Jadida, Morocco, on November 23, 2024, as well as the Draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 in Rabat on November 22, 2024.
The TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2024 is set to take place in July 2025, further highlighting the organization’s dedication to advancing African football at all levels.
