The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the launch of its newly redesigned website, set to go live on Monday, December 2, 2024. The revamped platform promises a host of new features aimed at improving user experience and providing a wider range of information about the Bank’s mandate.

In a statement issued by Hakama Sidi Ali, the Acting Director of Corporate Communications, on Friday, November 29, the Bank emphasized its commitment to leveraging technology to enhance accessibility and functionality.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website (http://cbn.gov.ng), which will be operational on Monday, December 2, 2024,” the statement reads.

The redesign introduces a modern Web API powered by Microsoft .NET Core 8, the latest stable release, to improve navigation speed and ease of use. Notably, the website’s front-end design and back-end development were completed entirely in-house.
Key features of the revamped website include:
- Expanded content covering a broader scope of the Bank’s mandate.
- Mobile responsiveness for seamless navigation across various devices and web browsers.

The CBN expressed appreciation for public feedback, which played a significant role in shaping the redesign. “We are committed to continuously enhancing the website to facilitate effective communication and user engagement,” the statement added.
The redesigned platform reflects the Bank’s dedication to adopting cutting-edge technology and fostering transparency in its operations.
