According to an eyewitness who spoke to Kwara Reporters on the condition of anonymity, the fire quickly escalated beyond control. “The fire started from the truck when it touched a lifewire, and within minutes, it spread to nearby shops. It was devastating,” the eyewitness said.

Efforts to contain the blaze were reportedly hindered by a lack of water. “We contacted the fire service immediately, but their response was shocking. They told us there was no water,” another witness claimed.

As of now, the extent of the damage and potential casualties remain unclear. Shop owners and residents in the area are calling for urgent government intervention and better preparedness by emergency services.
