A series of explosions has hit the Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Nigeria, leaving a trail of destruction and fear in its wake.
At least two explosive devices, believed to have been planted by bandits, detonated at separate locations, including on roads leading to the Dansadau weekly market.
According to eyewitnesses, a Canter Truck carrying grains narrowly escaped disaster on Friday when it ignited a bomb, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
However, two other explosions occurred simultaneously on Malamawa and Malele roads, causing widespread panic.
This latest incident marks the third explosion in just five days in the Dansadau Emirate, following a devastating blast on Wednesday that killed at least 12 people and destroyed a bridge at Tashar Sahabi.
The recurring attacks have left local communities on edge, and authorities are under pressure to step up security measures to prevent further violence.
