The hoodlums abducted over 50 women and children.

According to a community member, the gunmen stormed the village at about 1:30 am on Sunday with sophisticated weapons, moving from house to house.

He recounted the incident stating that everyone started running because the armed bandits have been targeting their village; later it was discovered that more than 50 of the women in the community were abducted.

Speaking further, he pointed out that the kidnapped victims included young girls and married women.

He appealed to the federal and the Zamfara State governments to deploy more military and security personnel to the axis to engage the terrorists.

The State police command spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar hasn’t given an update on the incident.
