The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of Pablo Mamu, a notorious kidnapper, in the Ihiala area of the state.
In a statement on Thursday, Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, revealed that the suspect was apprehended on Monday by a joint operation involving the police and the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) after receiving credible intelligence.
During the arrest, law enforcement recovered one OFN rifle, a locally made pistol, live 9mm ammunition, eight live cartridges, and a black Lexus 330 Jeep with multiple license plates.
Nnaghe Itam, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra, commended the operatives for their dedication and emphasized the need for continued collaboration between security agencies to safeguard residents, especially during the festive season.
