Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wu Chih-Chung, has praised Taiwan’s ongoing efforts to enhance trade and investment partnerships with African nations during the 18th-anniversary celebration of the Taiwan-Africa Business Association (TABA).
Speaking at the event, Wu commended TABA for its dedication to supporting Taiwanese businesses exploring opportunities in Africa. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ (MOFA) commitment to advancing Taiwan-Africa relations, emphasizing that despite international challenges, Taiwan possesses valuable experiences to share with African partners.
Wu highlighted the recent establishment of representative offices in Somaliland and Ivory Coast as significant milestones in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties with Africa.
TABA Chair Lin Yuan noted the association’s steady growth, now boasting over 120 Taiwanese member companies.
He described Africa as the fastest-growing market globally over the next decade and assured that TABA would continue to assist Taiwanese entrepreneurs in expanding their foothold across the continent.
