The draw for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 is set to take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT / 19:00 Cairo time).

This highly anticipated tournament, exclusively featuring African footballers competing in their domestic leagues, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1 to February 28, 2025.
Among the highlights of the competition will be the participation of several of Africa’s footballing powerhouses, including reigning champions Senegal. Senegal claimed their first CHAN title in 2022 by defeating Algeria, the tournament’s host nation, in a thrilling final held in Algiers.

As in previous editions, CHAN 2024 promises to be a vibrant celebration of African football, providing a platform for emerging talent to shine. Notable alumni of the tournament include Lamine Camara, who has since risen to global prominence and was recently named Young Player of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards.
The 18 qualified teams for CHAN 2024: Morocco, Guinea, Senegal Mauritania, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Congo, DR Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia, Angola and Madagascar.
