John Dramani Mahama has been officially sworn in as Ghana’s president for a third term on January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra.

The President was sworn in after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo at the Black Star Square.
The event drew numerous dignitaries, including a U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, highlighting the international significance of the occasion.

Mahama, who previously served as president from 2012 to 2017, secured his latest victory by focusing on key campaign promises to tackle Ghana’s economic challenges, combat corruption, and reduce unemployment.
