“The NFF President has been to Chief Anyansi-Agwu’s residence. I will also visit shortly to empathize with him and his family. This is an unfortunate incident, and the entire Executive Committee, Management, and Staff of the NFF stand with the Anyansi-Agwu family during this challenging time,” said NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.

Reports indicate that armed assailants invaded Chief Anyansi-Agwu’s home in Gwarinpa Estate, Abuja, in the early hours of Tuesday, January 8, 2025. The intruders ransacked the house, assaulted Chief Anyansi-Agwu, and made away with a car, mobile phones, cash, and other valuables worth several millions of naira.

Chief Anyansi-Agwu, a former chairman of Enyimba FC, is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed location in the Federal Capital Territory.
