The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will formally present the newly appointed Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Éric Sékou Chelle, to the public on Monday.
The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Media Conference Room of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Speaking on the development, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau acknowledged Nigerians’ passionate reactions to Coach Chelle’s appointment. “We understand the deep passion Nigerians have for football, and we recognize the varying opinions following this appointment,” Gusau stated.

He urged Nigerians to unite and support the new coach. “The NFF appeals to everyone to rally behind Coach Chelle. We believe he possesses the qualities to lead the Super Eagles to success. The NFF is committed to providing him with all the necessary support to thrive in this role.”
The NFF will also announce Coach Chelle’s assistant coaches during the unveiling. The technical team will initially oversee the Super Eagles B squad’s participation in next month’s African Nations Championship in East Africa before shifting focus to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, starting with games against Rwanda (away) and Zimbabwe (home) in March.
