The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda has been sworn in as the new Lagos Assembly Speaker following Mudashiru Obasa’s impeachment.
Obasa was impeached over allegations of gross misconduct and abuse of office will now see Honourable. Lasbat Meranda representing Apapa Constituency 1 take over his position.
Additionally, Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Fatai Mojeed has been chosen to serve as the new Deputy Speaker.
