According to the Brazil Foreign Ministry, Nigeria’s large population and significant economy in Africa make it a natural fit for BRICS.

The country is expected to play a key role in strengthening South-South cooperation and reforming global governance, which are top priorities for Brazil’s current presidency.

As a partner country, Nigeria joins other nations like Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan.

This partnership is expected to enhance Nigeria’s economic cooperation, currency flexibility, and infrastructure development, while also providing a platform for the country to participate in shaping global policies.
