The elections, which took place on Saturday, saw 12 political parties contesting for chairmanship and councillorship positions. Notably, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) withdrew from the election, citing concerns over the credibility of the ODIEC.
The participating parties included:
- Action Alliance

- Action People’s Party
- All Progressives Congress (APC)
- All Progressives Grand Alliance
- Boot Party
