Folashade Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, has been rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
She regained her freedom on Wednesday, following an operation led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo.
During the rescue operation, the kidnappers were neutralized, and the police also recovered the ransom paid to the kidnappers as bait. However, the police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, did not disclose the amount paid or the exact location of the rescue.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the police team for their efforts in rescuing Folashade. She was abducted last Thursday at her residence in Ogun State and taken to an unknown destination.
