Nigeria: Seven Travellers Kidnapped on Benin-Owo-Akure Road in Ondo State

Seven travellers were abducted along the Benin-Owo-Akure Road in the Ifon area of Ose Local Government, Ondo State. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that the victims were traveling from Akwa Ibom State to the South West when they were kidnapped by bandits on Friday night.

Odunlami assured that the police are actively working to rescue the victims and apprehend the kidnappers. In a related incident, a source revealed that 10 other travellers were abducted along the Owo-Ipele Road early Saturday morning. According to the source, the victims were stopped by gunmen, dragged into the bush, and taken to an unknown location.
