Maharazu Tsiga, a retired major general and former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has been abducted in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
AAN TV gathered that Tsiga was whisked alongside several residents of Tsiga village on Wednesday night. The exact circumstances surrounding the abduction remain unclear at this time.
Sources said that during the attack which lasted for a few minutes, two residents were wounded and one of the hoodlums died after being mistakenly shot by his colleagues.
This incident comes amid a rising wave of kidnappings for ransom across Nigeria’s northern region, heightening concerns over security in the area. Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the abduction.
