The Final Draw for the inaugural CAF Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025 will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt, at 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT).

The draw will be broadcast live on CAF TV, the official YouTube channel of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF).

This highly anticipated event marks a key milestone in the tournament’s preparations. The competition, set to be held from April 22 to April 30, 2025, will bring together nine of Africa’s best women’s futsal teams competing for continental glory and a chance to qualify for the 2025 FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in the Philippines (November 21 – December 7, 2025).

Qualified Teams for the Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations

  • Morocco (Host)
  • Angola
  • Cameroon
  • Egypt
  • Guinea
  • Madagascar
  • Namibia
  • Senegal
  • Tanzania

Tournament Format

The competition will feature three groups (A, B, and C), each comprising three teams. As the host nation, Morocco is automatically placed in position A1 in Group A.

  • The group winners and the best runner-up will advance to the semi-finals.
  • The remaining two runner-ups will compete in a fifth-place play-off.
  • A ranking of third-placed teams will be conducted, with the top two playing for seventh place, while the lowest-ranked team will automatically finish ninth.

Draw Procedures

The draw process will utilize four separate pots:

  • Pot 1: Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Guinea, Madagascar, Namibia, Senegal, Tanzania.
  • Pot 2: Positions B1 and C1.
  • Pot 3: Positions A2, B2, and C2.
  • Pot 4: Positions A3, B3, and C3.

Morocco, as the host nation, is already assigned to A1. The eight remaining teams will be drawn into the respective positions in Groups A, B, and C.

This landmark tournament is set to elevate women’s futsal in Africa, providing an exciting pathway to the global stage.
