In a move aimed at reducing the financial burden on consumers, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol.
The new price, effective immediately, stands at N825.
This is the second price cut implemented by Dangote Refinery in February, demonstrating the company’s commitment to providing affordable fuel options to Nigerians.
The price reduction was confirmed by Esan Sunday, Head of Media Relations and Branding Communications at Dangote Group, in a statement released on Wednesday.
This development comes amid ongoing discussions between Dangote Refinery and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) regarding petrol pricing.
However, the presidency has stated that President Tinubu will not intervene in the disagreement.
The price cut is expected to bring relief to consumers and have a positive impact on the economy.
