Kenya’s annual consumer inflation rate increased for the fourth month in a row to 3.5% in February, up from 3.3% in January, according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
Core inflation remained steady at 2.0%, while non-core inflation rose to 8.2% from 7.1% in January.
The increase comes despite the central bank’s efforts to support lending and boost economic growth by cutting interest rates.
