Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has retained its 42nd position globally and 6th in Africa in the latest FIBA rankings, despite a strong showing at the recently concluded AfroBasket Qualifiers.

The Nigerian side impressed in the qualifiers with three victories but saw no movement in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Mali recorded the biggest leap, climbing from 18th to 12th place in Africa.

South Sudan – 1st in Africa
Ivory Coast – 2nd
Angola – 3rd
Tunisia – 4th
Egypt – 5th
With their qualification for the upcoming AfroBasket Championship secured, D’Tigers will be aiming to improve their ranking with a strong performance in the tournament.
