Cameroonian Boxer, Cindy Ngamba has been forced to withdraw from her professional boxing debut due to medical concerns and will no longer compete in Friday’s all-female event at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The 26-year-old, who made history as the first Refugee Olympic Team member to win a medal with her bronze at the Paris Olympics, was set to face Kirstie Bavington in a light-middleweight contest.

Promoters Boxxer confirmed the withdrawal, stating: “Cindy Ngamba will not be making her professional debut on Friday night after a pre-fight medical examination revealed an issue requiring further investigations. The health and safety of fighters remains the highest priority, and Cindy will undergo further tests in the coming days.”
Boxxer declined to comment further on the nature of the medical issue.
UK-based Ngamba recently signed a “multi-fight” promotional deal with Boxxer.
Friday’s event will be headlined by a welterweight world title unification bout between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price, while WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois will defend her title against Bo Mi Re Shin in the co-main event.
