The Abia State Police Command has uncovered the remains of three individuals, among them a police officer, in the aftermath of a violent attack and abduction in Azumini Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area.
According to intelligence sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the victims were part of a group abducted on March 4 when armed assailants in a Toyota Sienna ambushed a convoy transporting businessman Chief Obasi Lawson. The attackers opened fire, killing the driver and another passenger before kidnapping Chief Lawson and a police officer assigned to his security team.

Subsequent investigations revealed the remains of ASP Tanko Natip in a nearby bush. His body was photographed and transported to Okeikpe Mortuary in Ukwa West for preservation.
The whereabouts of Chief Lawson remain unknown as tactical teams, aided by advanced tracking technology, intensify efforts to locate the missing businessman.
In response to the incident, security measures have been bolstered in the area, with additional tactical units deployed to deter further attacks and monitor the movements of the suspected kidnappers.Abia Police Unearth Bodies of Three Victims, Including Officer, in Azumini Ndoki
