The Amavubi of Rwanda have kicked off preparations for their vital 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Head coach, Adel Amrouche led the team’s first training session in Kigali on Sunday, alongside his assistants, as they fine-tuned tactics ahead of the crucial encounter.

Amrouche recently announced a 28-man provisional squad for the fixture, which also includes Rwanda’s matchday six clash against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
The Amavubi will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday before taking on Lesotho at the same venue four days later.

Rwanda currently leads Group C with seven points from four matches, as they aim to strengthen their position in the race for a World Cup ticket.
