Commuters leaving Lagos were left stranded on Thursday afternoon after two fallen containers blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, causing massive gridlock.
The first incident occurred at 10:50 am on Kara Bridge, followed by a second at 2:00 pm on the Long Bridge. The blockage brought traffic to a standstill, with congestion stretching as far back as Otedola Bridge and spilling into the Alapere area.

Officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other agencies swiftly began clearance operations. According to FRSC Ogun State Command spokesperson Florence Okpe, no casualties were recorded, and first responders were on-site to restore order and ease traffic flow.
