Commuters leaving Lagos were left stranded on Thursday afternoon after two fallen containers blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, causing massive gridlock.

The first incident occurred at 10:50 am on Kara Bridge, followed by a second at 2:00 pm on the Long Bridge. The blockage brought traffic to a standstill, with congestion stretching as far back as Otedola Bridge and spilling into the Alapere area.
