The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, and the Islamic community in Nigeria are mourning the loss of Dr. Mustapha Alimi, a distinguished medical professional and Islamic leader who passed away recently.
Dr. Alimi was the Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, where he played a crucial role in highlighting the hospital’s achievements in various clinical areas, including Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, Oncology, Microvascular Surgery, Spine Surgery, and Paediatric Orthopaedic services.
His funeral rites are as follows:

Interment at Lagos Mainland Muslim Community Cemetary, Ofada: 10.30AM
Under his leadership, the hospital established a robust Burns, Plastic & Reconstructive Services Department and activated a bone bank to store and reuse bones generated from arthroplasty patients.
Dr. Alimi was also an active member of the Islamic Medical Association (IMAN), where he made significant contributions to the ummah. He was a scholar, gentleman, leader, and a devoted Muslim who touched humanity with his selfless service.
His colleagues and friends will deeply miss him, and his legacy will continue to inspire and motivate others to follow in his footsteps. May Allah accept his return and grant him eternal peace.
