Nigeria’s U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, will face Morocco, Kenya, and Tunisia in Group B of the 24th Africa U20 Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Egypt from April 27 to May 18, 2025.
The revised draw was conducted on Sunday at the headquarters of the Egypt Football Association in Cairo, following Cote d’Ivoire’s withdrawal as tournament hosts. As a result, Egypt stepped in as the new hosts, prompting a reshuffling of the groups.

The host nation, Egypt, now leads Group A, which features five teams: Egypt, Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania. Originally, Nigeria was in the same group as Egypt and South Africa, but the redraw has placed them in a new group.
Despite the reshuffle, the Flying Eagles will still face two North African opponents — this time Tunisia and Morocco — along with East African side, Kenya as they battle for a place in the quarter-finals.

Defending champions Senegal lead Group C, which includes the Central African Republic, DR Congo, and Ghana.
After wrapping up a three-week training camp in Katsina, the seven-time African champions have returned to Abuja and are set to depart for Egypt this week for their final phase of preparation, which will last eight days.
The top four teams at the tournament will earn the right to represent Africa at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, scheduled for September 27 to October 19, 2025.
