A building has collapsed in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos, and five people have been rescued from the rubble so far.
The collapse occurred at around 8 am on Oremeta Street, where the building housed a local restaurant.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency is still conducting search and rescue operations, with fears that some people may have lost their lives in the incident.
The agency’s Permanent Secretary, Damilola Oke-Osanyitolu, said searchers would reach “ground zero” to locate other potential victims buried under the rubble.
