A man was apprehended by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Plateau State for allegedly possessing a firearm within a church premises in Bokkos Local Government Area.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday morning during a routine patrol around the church compound.
According to security expert Zagazola Makama, the NSCDC operatives acted on credible intelligence and swiftly responded to prevent a potential security breach.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found with a gun and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for it.
