President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja on Monday night following a nearly three-week working visit to Europe focused on strengthening Nigeria’s international partnerships in security and economic development.

The President’s aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at exactly 9:50 p.m., where he was warmly welcomed by senior government officials. Among those present were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

President Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2. He spent the first part of his trip in Paris, France, before reportedly traveling to London, United Kingdom, for further engagements.
Throughout his stay abroad, the President remained actively involved in governance, maintaining regular communication with key members of his administration and issuing directives on critical national matters.

A major focus of his remote leadership was national security. President Tinubu instructed Nigeria’s Service Chiefs to act decisively in addressing emerging threats across various regions of the country.
His return marks the continuation of high-level diplomatic and domestic engagements as his administration pushes forward with key development and reform initiatives.
