An Egyptian court has sentenced two Israeli citizens to five years in prison for assaulting hotel workers in the Red Sea town of Taba last year.
The incident occurred in August when a fight broke out at a hotel after one of the tourists insulted an employee, injuring three Arab Israeli tourists and two Egyptian hotel workers.
The sentencing was confirmed by an Egyptian security source, highlighting the country’s efforts to uphold law and order, even for foreign nationals.
The case underscores the complexities of international relations and the rule of law in tourist areas.
