Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has condemned the arrest of social media influencer VeryDarkMan, describing it as an abduction.

Obi expressed concern that the manner of the arrest creates fear and risks being mimicked by criminal elements.

Obi also lamented the impact on the economy and business environment, questioning why a civil invitation couldn’t have been extended instead.

Additionally, Obi raised concerns about the alleged abduction of a National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) president, highlighting the importance of protecting young voices in democracy.

He called for a return to a Nigeria where justice is served without theatrics or abuse, and institutions act responsibly.
