At least seven people have been killed in Mogadishu after a flood triggered by severe rainfall swept through the city on Friday night.
The flood also collapsed nine houses and filled the homes of 200 families, while damaging six major roads and hindering movement in the capital.
A government official, Saleh Hassan, confirmed the deaths, including two women and a young boy whose body was recovered from debris on one of the damaged streets.
Local residents, including Nuradin Mohammed, who lost a person in the flood, are struggling to cope with the aftermath.
The severe rainfall and flooding have left a trail of destruction in Mogadishu, with many families displaced and infrastructure damaged.
