Nigeria’s President Tinubu Inducts Two Attack Helicopters to Boost Military’s Fight Against Insecurity

President Bola Tinubu has inducted two attack helicopters, NAF544 and NAF545, into the Nigerian Air Force fleet to strengthen the military’s air power and tackle the challenge of insecurity in the country.

The induction ceremony, which coincided with the 61st anniversary of the Nigerian Air Force, was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima on behalf of the President.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, disclosed that the Nigerian Air Force will receive an additional 49 aircraft by 2027, including 10 Augusta 109 Trekker helicopters, 12 A-1 Zulu attack helicopters, and 20 4m 346 attack and ground attack aircraft.

This move is aimed at enhancing the military’s capabilities to combat insecurity and protect civilians.
