A key ally of notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji, Alhaji Shaudo Alku, has been confirmed dead following an air strike by the Nigerian Air Force in Sokoto State.
The precision strike was carried out near Tunfa Primary School in Isa Local Government Area by the Air Component of Operation Fagge Yama.
Alku, who had been invited from the neighboring Niger Republic for a meeting, was killed along with several fighters and yet-to-be-identified field commanders.
The operation is part of the military’s ongoing campaign to disrupt terrorist networks in north-western Nigeria.
