Russia’s national team head coach, Valery Karpin, has released a 31-man squad for the upcoming June international window, which includes friendly matches against Nigeria and Belarus.
The marquee fixture will see Russia host three-time African champions Nigeria at Moscow’s historic Luzhniki Stadium on June 6, with kickoff set for 18:00 Nigerian time.

The squad comprises four goalkeepers, eleven defenders, thirteen midfielders, and three forwards. Notably, Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matvey Safonov and Sion midfielder Anton Miranchuk are the only players in the team currently based outside Russia.
Originally, Zenit St. Petersburg goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok was included in the squad, but he has been ruled out with a muscle injury. In response, Lokomotiv Moscow’s Anton Mitryushkin has been called up as his replacement.

The squad will begin training on May 31 at the national team’s base in Novogorsk, as Karpin begins preparations for the double-header.
