Nigeria’s U-18 Basketball Team Triumphs Over Angola 70-65 in Afro Basket Championship

Nigeria’s U-18 Men’s Basketball Team secured a 70-65 victory over Angola in their second group game at the ongoing FIBA U-18 Afrobasket Championship in South Africa on Saturday.

This win comes after their opening game loss to Egypt. The team coached by Fubara Onyanabo took control early, winning the first quarter 20-18 and the second quarter 12-6.

However, Angola fought back in the third quarter, outscoring Nigeria 25-15. The Nigerian boys regained the lead in the final quarter, winning it 23-16 to seal the game with a 70-65 victory after four quarters.

Nigeria will now face Uganda in their next match on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.
