A 75-year-old Nigerian pilgrim, Adizatu Dazumi from Edo State, has died during the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia after a brief illness.
Dazumi, who had completed the Tawaaf ritual, was admitted to King Fahad General Hospital in Makkah on Sunday and died the following day.
She was buried in Makkah according to Islamic tradition, and her family has been informed.
The Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Musah Uduimoh, extended his condolences to the family and reassured the public that the board remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of all pilgrims.
