Senator Neda Imasuen, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, has announced his intention to leave the Labour Party (LP) and join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Imasuen, representing Edo South, cited turmoil within the LP as the reason for his decision, which he plans to finalize on June 12, 2025.
He described his move as tactical, aiming to align Edo South with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Imasuen highlighted his achievements, including establishing the Federal College of Education and introducing the Abudu Bill, and expressed support for President Tinubu’s initiatives.
