Two people were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The Eastern Cape Transport Department has urged road users to exercise extra caution due to adverse weather conditions, with widespread flooding and disruptions expected.

A cut-off low system is expected to persist, bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms to the eastern half of the province.

This incident follows another accident on the N10, which was closed for hours due to a head-on collision involving two trucks.
