President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated a 300-bed specialist hospital named after him in Kaduna state.
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital features nine wings, including maternal and child health, radiology and imaging, intensive care unit, and special care unit.
The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority has also approved the establishment of a cancer center and nuclear facility within the complex.
During the inauguration ceremony, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani requested Tinubu’s intervention in building the cancer center, saying it was the only thing missing.
Tinubu commended Sani for his developmental projects, assuring him that his intervention would not be in vain. “We’ve witnessed progress. You prioritize people. It is only a far-sighted leader who cares about his people that can establish this for their healthcare needs. I am very proud of what you are doing,” Tinubu said.
The hospital inauguration is part of several developmental projects carried out by the state government, which Tinubu visited to commission.
Other projects include the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun and 100 Compressed Natural Gas buses for intra-city commute. Several governors were present to receive Tinubu, including Hope Uzodimma of Imo state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti.
