Flight Lieutenant Kafayat Sanni, Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot, has made history again by emerging as the Best Allied Student and winner of the Best Assistant Commandant Paper at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC).
The awards were presented during the college’s graduation ceremony, attended by top military officials and dignitaries from across Africa.
Sanni’s achievement is a testament to her personal excellence and resilience, as well as Nigeria’s growing leadership in regional defense and commitment to gender inclusion in the armed forces.
As a prolific instructor pilot, she has produced and mentored younger pilots for the Nigerian Air Force, flying the Alpha Jet and undertaking training sorties on the Super Mushshak.
