The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a public holiday in honor of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s declaration of a seven-day national mourning.
The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the holiday as a mark of respect for Buhari’s service to the nation, contributions to Nigeria’s democratic journey, and enduring legacy in governance and national development.
Citizens are urged to use the day to promote peace, patriotism, and national cohesion, in line with Buhari’s vision for a prosperous and united Nigeria.
