Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has announced a ₦1 billion donation to support families displaced by a suspected herders’ attack in Benue State.
The donation, made through the Renewed Hope Initiative, aims to help affected families regain stability, return to their livelihoods, and build better lives.
During a condolence visit to the state, Remi Tinubu expressed her deep sadness over the killings and urged residents to remain hopeful despite the challenges.
The funds will provide essential support, including food, shelter, medicine, and job training, to help families rebuild and thrive.
The donation was made on July 29, 2025, at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, where the First Lady emphasized the Renewed Hope Initiative’s commitment to improving the lives of Nigerian families.
Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State received the donation on behalf of the state, expressing gratitude for the gesture.
The initiative is expected to bring hope and relief to the displaced families, enabling them to recover from the traumatic experience.
