A Niger Republic citizen, Aliyu Salisu, has been rescued after spending nearly 10 hours trapped under the rubble of a collapsed three-storey building in Abuja’s Lifecamp area.
The incident occurred around 6:15 pm on Saturday, prompting a rescue operation by the police, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and other agencies.
Salisu was successfully extricated at about 4 am on Sunday and taken to Cedar Crest Hospital for treatment.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, commended the dedication of the rescue team and urged residents to remain alert and report emergencies or suspicious activities.
