Nigeria: Gunmen Kill Two Policemen Attached to Imo State Lawmaker

Two police officers attached to an Imo State lawmaker were killed in an ambush near the Okigwe Roundabout on Sunday evening, August 3, 2025.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) militia, occurred when the lawmaker’s vehicle broke down and the officers went to seek assistance.
