The West African Examinations Council has announced the temporary withdrawal of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results for school candidates due to technical issues discovered in the result release process.
According to WAEC, the decision followed an internal review that revealed glitches resulting from a recently adopted paper serialization system aimed at curbing examination malpractice.
The affected subjects include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics. WAEC apologized to all affected candidates and the general public, assuring that the issues would be resolved within 24 hours.
Candidates who have previously checked their results are advised to re-check them after 24 hours.
